Rules & Qualifying Scores for 2009­10 Season

Motion: Clarifications – NC Gymnasts may qualify to a State Meet from any USAG sanctioned meet with a minimum of a 2-judge panel.

Add the following to the NC Club Directory & Competition Guidelines...

*      State Meet Bid Requirements...

o       Ability to run capital cup

o       Outside Facility would be preferable

o       Successful Experience of Meet Directors & Host Club

o       Large competition area with good spectator seating

o       Good equipment and environment for quality competitive experience

*      Add under the qualifying scores the Late Meet Entry Fee Procedures in Competition Guidelines.

*      Wording of award procedures to be included in the Competition Guidelines.

 

Motion: Coaches must use the entry procedure that is chosen by the meet director.

Motion: Level 7-10 State Meet is required to have a medical person on site at all times during competition. It is all recommended that all other State Meets should have a medical person on site.

Motion: Entry fees remain the same with the addition of a $5.00 increase to each entry fee that will be going to an outside facility.

No Changes at this time we will revisit after discussion of Prep Rules

 

NC Judges’ Donation

Motion: Give a $100 per judge from NC attending National or Brevet testing.

Schedule for 2009­10

Every meet director is sent a letter with the meet intents that stats that if they cancel their meet after the cancellation date, a cancellation fee is going to be charged to their club, payable to NCUSAG. If the club does not pay, they will not be given qualifying privileges for the following year.

Cancellation fee will be $100.00 per meet payable to NC-USAG. Cancellation date will be the same as Judges’ Request deadline.

State Meet Bids

Motion: Level 7-10 State Meet be awarded to Port City.

Motion: Rookie State Meet be awarded to Stanly County, providing that the meet bid was sent on time and is in an outside facility. If not, it will be awarded to North Raleigh.

Motion: We change the awarding of the Rookie state meet to North Raleigh, with provision of adequate seating and awards facility. And award Level 4 state meet to Stanly County, providing that the meet bid was sent on time and is in an outside facility. If not, it will be awarded to Salem. And award Level 5/6 State Meet to Foothills of Hickory.

State Meet Clinic

Darlene was gracious enough to offer her facility to the NC Gymnastics community to host the NC State Clinic on August 7th, 8th & 9th.

 

Organizing Clinicians: Sarah Myers & Mindy Yaeger

Organizing Food & Site:      Darlene Rose

Scheduling:                       Jennie Adams & Darlene Rose

 

4 Tracks – Pre-School & Recreational, Prep & Compulsory skills & rules, Business & Optional Rules, Hands spotting & Level 7-8 Skills

 

Cost: $30 each for professional member / $50 each for non-professional member / $40 each for 4 or more non-professional members / $30 each for 10 or more non-professional members

 

A survey will be sent to all general members asking for ideas and volunteers to present lectures.

 

Prep Rules

Lots of discussion!!!!! See spreadsheet that will be coming out soon.

 

Regional Apparel

A note needs to be prepared for all girls going to Regionals telling them what to wear at the Regional Competition.
